Liam Halferty

I am an experienced Biology teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience, teaching CCEA Biology at GCSE and A level. I hold a degree in Biological Sciences, a PhD in Parasitology and a PGCE. My lessons are friendly, structured and closely aligned with the CCEA specification. I help pupils strengthen their subject knowledge, improve their examination technique and understand exactly what command words and mark schemes require. Sessions include clear explanations, targeted questioning, retrieval practice and guidance on how to construct accurate, high-quality answers. I teach online in small groups of no more than five pupils, allowing each student to receive individual support while benefiting from discussion and shared learning.
